At Evergreen Cottages we offer a supportive environment where residents  can live a meaningful life and reach their own personal potential through supportive care that normalizes their experiences. We believe that all people experience life facing different challenges.
While meeting these challenges we believe that each resident is entitled to be treated with dignity, respect and support. Residents and their families have a right to privacy and confidentiality, to be informed of and consent to treatment, and to take reasonable risks.
We understand that individuals living at Evergreen Cottages have complex physical and psychological needs that are best addressed through interdisciplinary teamwork. We believe in evidence based practices and encourage our staff to actively seek learning opportunities.
At Evergreen Cottages we encourage our residents to "Act their Age" by promoting activities that reflect the fact that the majority of our residents are young in age and at heart. Each resident is encouraged to take an active part in their life at Evergreen Cottages, while living within their abilities and interests.
Evergreen Cottages recognizes that residents are part of their larger community so relationships with families, friends and community partners are encouraged. Through our dedication to this philosophy we believe that the community recognizes Evergreen Cottages for the excellent care that it provides.
